CONGRESSMAN GREG LOPEZ

Representative Greg Lopez represents Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District in the U.S House of Representatives. He sits on both the House Budget Committee and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. He was sworn into office on July 8th, 2024 after winning a special election.

Rep. Lopez grew up in a working class family, as the child of migrant agricultural workers. His father had only a six-grade education and never truly learned how to read and write, and his mother had only a tenth-grade education.

Inspired by his dedicated parents, at 17, Rep. Lopez joined the US Air Force. During his four years of military service, he met the love of his life, Lisa. They were married in 1988 and moved to Colorado where they raised their two children.

Rep. Lopez has since devoted himself to public service, having been the former mayor of Parker, Colorado and director of the Small Business Administration before serving in Congress.  Rep. Lopez also previously served as President & CEO of the Colorado Hispanic Republicans and President of the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Rep. Lopez knows what it takes to manage a family, a small business, and fight the red tape that often stands in the way of good government. His mission is to represent Colorado’s Fourth District as a statesman and as an effective voice of his constituents during his time in Congress.
